Postnatal Doula Support
I'm here to support, nourish, and take care of you during those first precious weeks and months after your baby arrives. As your postnatal doula, I’ll make sure you're looked after as you adjust to motherhood. Every visit is unique and tailored to your needs. My aim is to ensure you are well rested, nourished and supported so you can dedicate yourself to healing, replenishing and make the most of being a mother.
Before the birth, you might like to connect to talk through your ideal recovery plan. Once your baby is here, I'll visit for a set number of hours each week, tailored to what works best for you. Each visit lasts three or more hours, and I can adjust my schedule weekly based on your needs.
The postnatal doula support I offer can include:
Practical Support:
Help with feeding, in whichever way you choose
Taking care of your baby so you can rest, shower, or take time to yourself
Preparing healthy and nourishing meals and snacks
Entertaining an older sibling to give you more bonding time with your newborn
Light housekeeping tasks and running errands
Emotional Support:
Talking through your birth experience and helping you unpack the experience and the impact that may have had on both your body and mind
Gently building your confidence with baby care (bathing, feeding, holding and soothing your baby)
Helping you process the emotional shifts of new parenthood/matrescence
Being there to listen without judgment, creating a calm and open space for you
Gentle mum and baby yoga practice and baby massage
Information Support:
Current, unbiased info on such topics as feeding, sleep, and baby-wearing so you feel empowered to make choices that feel right for you and your baby
Helping you sift through the mountain of baby info to find what really matters to you
Connecting you with local groups, resources, and activities in the community
Background
I am proud to be mother to two amazing teenagers as well as step grandmother to two young children. I am certified by ‘Younique Postnatal’ as a postnatal doula. I am a yoga teacher of 24 years and am passionate about supporting women’s health and life transitions. My most recent trainings are in yoga therapy, pregnancy and postnatal yoga and mindfulness, ‘Menopause Yoga’ and ‘Pelvic Floor Yoga’.
Pricing
Initial Meeting - Free
We’ll connect in person or virtually to talk about what you’re looking for and see if we’re the right fit for one another.
Support Package - £500 for 20 hrs (min. 3 hrs per session)
A flexible package of visits tailored to your needs. Book sessions weekly to allow for flexibility. Includes a postnatal planning session and unlimited text/phone/email support between visits.
Postnatal Planning Session - £50
We’ll make a plan for those first few weeks at home with your new baby, covering everything from rest and recovery to stocking the fridge and setting up local support systems.
Personally tailored postpartum yoga practice - £75
Together we’ll create a personalised practice to support your post partum healing and recovery. This can include simple mindful movement, breathwork and guided meditation practices that work for you, and individualised focus on pelvic rebalancing, posture realignment and replenishing your energy levels.
