About Tiffy

I see yoga as a friendly hello to the body, a way to come home to yourself. Yoga offers a therapeutic route to finding and unravelling tension and moving towards greater ease and balance. Connecting you to your body’s innate wisdom and resilience, yoga is a great all round health insurance.

I orient my practice and teaching around mindful movement sequences, longer-held postures and conscious rest. I see the breath as an anchor for expansion of the mind, and gravity as a root from which the body can find buoyancy.

I have been practicing yoga since the 1990s. After completing a one-year full-time yoga teacher training with YogaArts in Australia, I qualified as an International Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher in 2002.

I have continued to explore and study many forms of yoga with various teachers over the years: Astanga, Iyengar, restorative and therapeutic yoga, breathwork and meditation, and yoga for pregnancy and beyond.

Most recently my ever-deepening passion for supporting women’s health and life transitions has led me to develop additional expertise in yoga for pelvic health and yoga for menopause. I am also a certified postnatal doula.

I always feel nourished after Tiffy’s classes. Her teaching is thoughtful and sensitive to each individual. There is always a good mix of yoga for the body and the soul. Tiffy’s guidance really helps me to think more about what I’m trying to achieve in my practice; from the right level of challenge in the poses to really understanding what it means to be still and breathe.

Tiffy’s teaching made me fall in love with yoga. I’d been to a few classes here and there before, but never really ‘got’ it - until a teaching day with Tiffy opened my mind and body to the incredible healing and connecting that yoga practice can bring. Now I practice yoga daily, and have observed my strength and flexibility grow and my relationship with my body become a healthy and happy one.

I have been attending Tiffy’s class for several years. Like many I lead a busy life juggling work and caring for my family. Tiffy’s class is a great place of respite and her teaching style is very inclusive and nurturing. I love the breath work, the fine tuning of the asanas.
